Our patterns and tutorials are designed to be accessible to all skill levels, from complete beginners to those with some prior knowledge. You'll only need a basic understanding of sewing to get started.

You will need access to a computer or tablet with a stable internet connection. For patterns, you will also need access to a printer.

Starting Saturday 15 June, 2025 at 6 pm AEDT, you will have instant access to our PDF patterns through our online learning platform. You can access the materials from any device with an internet connection. New patterns will be released every month.

Absolutely! Soon we will be launching pattern making classes to help you adjust any pattern to create your own unique designs.

Our PDF sewing patterns are available in a wide range of sizes, from 6-18 (AUD) and cup sizes A-F. We will teach you how to alter our patterns to fit your exact measurements. Some designs may be restricted to specific sizes.

No, our courses are not formally accredited by any government or educational body. The Australian Fashion Institute is an independent education platform created to offer practical, industry-relevant skills without the barriers of traditional fashion school.
