The Australian Fashion Institute is building a new era of fashion education.

We create modern sewing patterns and practical short courses for sewers, designers, and aspiring fashion entrepreneurs who want to master high-end garment making, without the price tag or pressure of traditional fashion school.

Whether you're just starting your sewing journey or building your own label, our resources are designed to teach you real industry skills, time-saving techniques, and insider knowledge to help bring your ideas to life.

Unlike many patternmakers, our patterns are available for both personal and commercial use. That means you can use them to build a portfolio, launch a made-to-order business, or simply craft a wardrobe you’re proud of, on your own terms.

We officially launch on 1 February 2026, with a new pattern and course released every two months.

Our mission is to help you go from feeling stuck and overwhelmed, to confidently designing and sewing couture-level garments with ease.
